We are glad to announce that NORFAS, as part of a multi-disciplinary consortium, has received funding to establish a network and a hub, SWEFAS, for fascism studies at the Uppsala University. The funding source is CIRCUS, the Centre for Integrated Research on Culture and Society.
The project involves a group of fascism studies scholars at the faculties of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology, including NORFAS members Lars M Andersson, Heléne Lööw, Nicola Karcher, and Oula Silvennoinen, with linguistic and country-specific expertise on the Nordic countries, Germany, Latvia, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, former Yugoslavia and its successor states, Hungary, and Rumania.
The project will be funded for two years, 2024–2025, and will organise workshops, lectures, and a conference, and draw up funding applications. One of the main objectives is to develop further collaboration with the NORFAS and COMFAS networks and their members.
